Practice – DofE Silver & Gold – Success

This past weekend we had 14 young people from Durham City Explorers completing their practice DofE expeditions for Silver & Gold. The weekend saw 7 people complete silver and 6 complete their gold practice and helped prepare them for the qualifier in October.

Despite not being able to prepare over the last 18 months in a way we would normally, both teams worked well together and worked hard. The weather was not on our side with very heavy rain Saturday and yellow warnings of thunderstorms meaning routes had to be re-assessed and adjusted.
