Adult Recruitment
Do you need help finding new volunteers? Or want to learn the best ways to keep amazing volunteers? We’ve got a whole host of support available on our new website to help you do just that.
If you think you need more volunteers, it’s important to do a quick review of your group before you reach out. We’ve posed questions to consider, and provided venue and visibility checklists so you can make sure you’re visible and ready to recruit.
When you’re ready, follow our six simple steps for recruiting volunteers and make use of the adult volunteer tools. As a minimum, we suggest you have a family rota in place, host a group get together (like a Beaver Bistro, Cub Cafe or Scout Supper) and run a 4 week challenge.
We’re hosting a series of webinars with tips and tricks on the best ways to use the resources. Check out the 2020 dates here and add them to your calendar. If you join live, you’ll be able to ask the experts any questions on effectively using them.
If you’ve already got a superstar team of volunteers, why not read four ways to retain volunteers and make sure you keep them? It’s all about having those meaningful conversations.
We hope you find our guidance and resources to be useful. Please do shout about your successes on social media, in your district, and anywhere else you fancy – it might provide the inspiration someone needs!
Is there a method we’ve missed? Or want to feedback on these tools? We’d love to hear your thoughts. You can let us know by emailing volunteering.team@scouts.org.uk.
Best of luck on your recruitment journey,
