The camp will be held at our District Site at Coalburns (near Prudhoe).
Scouts will be dropped by parents at a different location for each troop, and will hike onto site (approximately 1-2 miles, following easy routes). They will then proceed to build shelters in which they will be sleeping. Throughout the afternoon, they will perform tasks to collect points. These points will then be used to purchase food and other supplies with which they will then cook dinner. During evening entertainment, they will perform a sketch within their groups for the other groups.
On Sunday morning, Scouts will cook breakfast and pack their kit. We will then have an hour of activities. This will be followed by a Scouts Own, lunch and then departure. Departure will be staggered by troop to reduce traffic at the campsite.
Personal kit should be packed within one hike rucksack which the Scouts should be able to carry for up to 2 miles. Group kit should be brought to the campsite separately (e.g. by leaders).
Each troop is invited to enter teams of 4-7 Scouts. Final entry for teams is 10pm on Sunday 15th September.
