SEND Training Session

We regularly receive requests from leaders for additional training on supporting young people with special educational needs. We’re delighted to announce that the below session will be running next term, where we will have an experienced SEN teacher covering off an overview of common special educational needs (including Autism and Social Communication Difficulties, Attention Difficulties, Cognition and Understanding), and some strategies that can be effective in engaging and supporting young people with these needs.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
