2 Day – ITC Qualification in Outdoor First Aid

Coronavirus Considerations:

Anyone attending this course will need to complete a personal LFT on each morning of the event before arrival, bearing in mind these take 30 mins to complete.

If any participant receives a positive test they should not attend and following current national guidance and get a PCR test.

All participants will be asked to sign a disclaimer to say they have completed a LFT test and it come out as negative.

Face coverings will be no longer mandatory however we recommend you bring one for close contact elements of the course.

Parking:

Please avoid blocking the church car park. There is a road opposite the church entrance which has on street parking. Sunday this is free and Saturday is 20p per 30 minutes so for the full 9 hours a total of £3.60

Course Content:

This course is an accredited qualification and is constructed by two units.

Unit One / Day One – Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action
Unit Two / Day Two – Outdoor First Aid Emergency Incident Management

Each unit has a contact time of 8 hours, therefore, if you are unable to attend the full course you will not be eligible to be awarded the full level qualification.

Please ensure you are familiar with the Venue address and arrive prior to the 9.00am start.

The course is of a practical nature so wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Some of the training will be outdoors on day two so be prepared for the weather i.e. waterproofs, walking boots, hat, gloves.

First Aid is a practical skill with a physical element to the training course. If you have any learning or additional needs, or are unsure about your ability to participate in the practical activity, please contact us so we can inform the trainers.

You will be required to provide evidence of identity to the Tutor at course registration i.e. photo driving licence, passport.

Food/Refreshments:

We will provide some refreshments such as Tea, Coffee, Juice and Biscuits. You should bring your own lunch. Venue has 1 x microwave, 1 x toaster and kettles to use.

Qualification:

By completing this course you will achieve a ITC Certificate in Outdoor First Aid at SCQF Level 6 & receive a Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate at SCQF Level 6.
